James Wright founded WestCliff Developments in 2019 with a vision to build a development company focused on creating high-quality projects across Western Canada.

Since its founding, James has grown WestCliff’s portfolio to 11 developments at various stages of planning, construction, and operation. Today, WestCliff has 750 rental homes built or under construction, with more than 500 additional units in various stages of pre-development. The company’s reach has also expanded beyond Saskatoon, with active and upcoming projects in Regina, Cochrane and Calgary.
The name WestCliff pays tribute to James’s grandfather, Clifford “Cliff” Wright, former Mayor of Saskatoon, reflecting both the company’s roots and its connection to the community.
Under James’s leadership, WestCliff has grown into a dynamic and driven team with an ambitious approach to development. He continues to lead the company with a focus on thoughtful growth, community-minded development, and taking pride in every project WestCliff brings to life.
