Jenna Schroeder

Executive Director of the Provincial Capital Commission
Jenna Schroeder is proud to be the Executive Director of the Provincial Capital Commission, a position she has served in since April 2022. Prior to this role, she served for five years as the Director of Regional Planning for the Saskatchewan Ministry of Government Relations’ Community Planning branch.

Born and raised in Regina, Jenna is a Registered Professional Planner with 16 years of experience in public sector leadership; strategic planning; legislation, regulation and policy development and administration; community planning; and stakeholder engagement and education.

She holds a Master of Public Administration from Queen’s University and a Bachelor of Environmental Studies, specializing in Planning, from the University of Waterloo.

Jenna volunteered with professional planning organizations for the past 11 years. She served six years on the Board of Directors of the Canadian Institute of Planners, with four years as the Vice President and Chair of the Governance Committee. Jenna also served five years on the Council of the Saskatchewan Professional Planners Institute, with two years as President.

In her spare time, Jenna enjoys hiking, camping, gardening, dog walks, and spending time with family and friends.

Wascana Centre has been a jewel in the crown of the Queen City for more than 100 years. The first plans for Wascana Centre were developed in 1913, and the first master plan was prepared in 1962. Every landscape feature, public amenity, and structure in Wascana Centre is planned and intentional.
