Travis Sandeski joined SaskPower in 2021 with 20 years of experience between the provincial and federal governments. He started his career in a land surveying and GIS-related capacity, and over time has increasingly taken on opportunities to lead land-related policy development, negotiations and consultation. At SaskPower, Travis’ work focuses on the public engagement efforts SaskPower is undertaking as it evaluates nuclear power from SMRs as a potential option.
This session will discuss how SaskPower’s engagement is supporting the siting for a green field nuclear power plant in Saskatchewan. The presentation will cover the siting process, engagement strategies and lessons learned.
