I grew up on a farm near Ituna, SK, but I call Regina, SK home. I attended the University of Regina and obtained a Bachelor of Arts Honours Degree in Geography. I had a great opportunity in 2008 to travel to Vancouver for the Canadian Urban Transportation Association (CUTA) Conference. This was just before Vancouver hosted the Winter Olympics in 2010 and there were a lot of interesting projects and developments happening at the time. This experience really piqued my interest in planning. I worked with the provincial government for about 10 years in various roles with the Ministry of Government Relations, Community Planning Branch as well as the Ministry of Agriculture, Lands Branch. Currently, I am the Director of Planning & Development for both the Town of Lumsden and the RM of Lumsden No. 189. I joined the SPPI Council because the activities and initiatives of SPPI would not be possible without volunteers and I felt it was my time to give back and serve a term on Council. After delivering the first-ever Virtual Conference in 2021, I am looking forward to having an in-person Conference in 2022 and seeing all my colleagues face to face again!
