Kim has been with the City of Regina for more than 20 years. During this time, while the job titles have changed, the roles have all involved collaboration across municipal areas, including planning, engineering, and finance. This led to some challenging and interesting work, including creating and implementing a local climate change action plan, managing the preparation of Design Regina, the official community plan, and, most recently advancing the first phase of the project to revitalize the Scarth Street Mall in the city’s downtown.
Like many cities, Regina has been prioritizing investments to foster a vibrant downtown and economic development in its centre.
Join the Scarth Street Tour to experience one of Regina’s City Centre’s oldest streets and talk about what is being done to breathe new life into this area to attract new residents and businesses while creating places that appeal to the broader community.
Participants will take a stroll down Scarth, making stops to view and talk about renewal and revitalization eƯorts occurring along the strip. Over this 6-block stretch, there are a lot of activities advancing that together will generate a new vibe and momentum.
