Jim Charlebois is the Director of Planning at Crosby Hanna. Jim has been a practicing Professional Planner for over 25 years, primarily at the municipal level, including 20 years in BC and in the Saskatoon region since 2017. During his career, Jim has led and participated in the development of Official Community Plans (OCP’s) in Nova Scotia, British Columbia and Saskatchewan and has prepared new OCP policies and Zoning Bylaw regulations that have guided growth and development in urban and suburban contexts in cities, towns and villages and in rural municipalities.

Jim is a Registered Professional Planner in Saskatchewan (RPP) a full member of the Canadian Institute of Planners (MCIP) and a Board Member of the Professional Standards Board for the Planning Profession in Canada. He obtained his Bachelor of Applied Arts in Urban and Regional Planning from Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson University) in 1993, his Master of Urban and Rural Planning from Dalhousie University in 1999 and an Executive Education Certificate in Municipal Project Management from the University of Alberta in 2019.
