Mavis Adzanu is a Capital Project Manager for the Project Planning and Delivery branch within the Ministry of SaskBuilds and Procurement. In her role, she leads and supports the planning, development, and delivery of capital infrastructure projects across a diverse portfolio that includes correctional and health facilities, and other public sector assets.
Mavis is a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) who obtained her Bachelor of Science and Master of Engineering degrees in Civil Engineering and has worked in the Saskatchewan public sector for 10 years. Mavis’ work helps to move projects from planning to execution through multidisciplinary collaboration with government partners, consultants, and stakeholders.
Across Saskatchewan, municipalities are increasingly being asked to respond (quickly and visibly) to intersecting crises of homelessness, addictions, mental health, and public safety. Since 2024, medically supervised complex needs facilities in Regina and Saskatoon have been developed, with Prince Albert now under active construction as the third site. Together, these facilities represent a rapid evolution in how land-use planning, health policy, and policing intersect.
