Carolyn Dunn, RPP, MCIP

Councillor
Professional Development
As a lifelong resident of Saskatoon, I attended the University of Saskatchewan where I completed a Bachelor of Commerce degree before stumbling upon the Regional and Urban Planning Program. It was through courses with Glen Grismer, Bob Patrick, and Ryan Walker that I really developed a desire to work with communities and plan for sustainable futures. In 2015, I joined the Urban Systems team in Saskatoon and have enjoyed the challenge and opportunity of building relationships and supporting community goals through consulting. I have collaborated with multi-disciplinary teams across Urban Systems on projects throughout Saskatchewan, Alberta, and British Columbia working with Indigenous and municipal communities of varying scales. My practice has largely focused on land use, zoning, and comprehensive community planning, as well as asset management, economic development, and housing studies. I am excited to join the SPPI council alongside new and old RUP friends, and look forward to contributing to initiatives focused on learning opportunities and supporting emerging professionals.
